Loan Pre-Approval Document Checklist
 There are four (4) main types of documents needed for a loan pre-approval.  You may be asked for a few more, depending on the loan type and your circumstances Please note that this list is for all government backed (“FHA,VA,USDA”) and other Conforming loans.  Conforming loans follow guidelines issued by/through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Please note that FHA, Fannie Mae (Federal National Mortgage Association) and Freddie Mac (the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation) do not underwrite mortgage loans !  Identification -A state-issued photo ID driver’s license or identification card. A valid passport will also suffice. - Social Security Card ** All borrowers/co-borrowers must provide ID.
